                     President's Message

Welcome to (www.cac-canada.org)

For over two years now, the Canadian Afghan Council (CAC) has been energetically involved in promoting social, cultural and educational matters of importance and interest to the Afghan community in Ontario.

Since its inception, CAC has strived to bring about a vivid platform for interactive community engagement in addressing issues relative to adaptation, integration and assimilation into the society.

CAC has endeavoured to foster native cultural values and ideals, develop inter-community understanding, and bring to fore concerns and challenges confronted by the community through organizing cross-cultural events, holding bi-lateral and multilateral exchanges, as well as pertinent contributions to mass media.

Similarly, CAC has taken a prominent role in promoting the Canadian values of multiculturalism and diversity within the community.

Advocating greater participation of the community as a meaningful part of integration process, CAC has tirelessly worked to provide awareness, among other issues, on the fulfillment of civic duties by active involvement in the electoral and voting processes at all levels.

Additionally, however, CAC has remained passionately seized with the Canadian mission in Afghanistan, important to the community at large. CAC continues its support for the historic role Canada plays aimed at helping the people of Afghanistan rebuild their country.

We are proud of the support we have managed to garner among the community, and remain committed to furthering our track record of activities in the future.
